Starlit Academy
Starlit academy is Home Away From Home where we attend to the total child’s educational, Psychological and Spiritual needs. The main focus is the gradual building of the total child.
Starlit Academy is out to make children’s education as qualitative as it ought to be with due consideration to the social and economic pressures on parents and guardians in general. We are out to make a difference by raising the quality of children’s education in our immediate environment. We are aware that more than ninety percent of a child’s opinion are formed before the ages of three-eight, so we work to ensure that proper values are inculcated in the child to lead a better society.
We believe in creating a conducive environment for the development of the total child, so we have a decent and home friendly environment. Starlit academy is actually a Home Away From Home created to add values to the total child. The place of God in inculcating values into children is also not undermined. Starlit academy boasts of high tech and qualified staffs that are dedicated to the vision and objectives of the school.

we pride ourselves on incorporating the eight (8) characteristics of an authentic Montessori nursery:
- Child Centered Environment: our focus is on children learning within small groups.
- Focus on Individual Progress and Development: Each child is viewed as unique and proceeds at his/her own pace.
- Spontaneous Activity: children are encouraged to move about freely and explore their soundings within clearly defined limits.
- Active Learning: the curriculum selects subjects that interests the child which are of academic importance and aimed at long term projects.
- Self Directed Activity: the children are encouraged to master things on their own . they are encouraged to make choices on their own by fostering their independence, so they can become self-directed.
- Responsive Prepared Environment: Our environment meets the needs of the children. small desks and chairs, we choose materials based on the abilities of the children in small groups and constantly change them when necessary to stimulate their minds and allow them explore and appreciate their environment.
- Hands on Leaning: our learning materials are real objects which the children can touch and feel. we utilize concrete models which better allows the children to understand abstract concepts and the environment.
- Intrinsic Motivation to Learning: by setting up visual stimulating environment and providing interesting activities to explore, we help foster the child`s intrinsic motivation to learn.

HOURS OF SCHOOL
After school care 3.00 -6.00 pm.
Nursery 7.30am- 3.00 pm.
Primary 7.30am-3.00pm.
The school should be notified in writing if a different person is picking up the child from school. The child will otherwise not be released.
The closing time on Fridays is 2:00p.m.
